A milestone celebration is about to take flight! The Walt Disney Company is marking America’s 250th anniversary with a once-in-a-lifetime initiative called Disney Celebrating America. Launching on Veterans Day 2025 and continuing through July 4, 2026, this nationwide tribute will bring Disney’s signature storytelling and imagination to a grand, patriotic stage.
From heartfelt tributes to dazzling experiences, Disney Celebrating America will shine a spotlight on the people, places, and stories that define the nation’s past, present, and future.
A Celebration of Imagination and Spirit
At its heart, Disney Celebrating America is all about honoring the spirit of the United States — a land built on imagination, ambition, and endless possibility. As CEO Robert A. Iger shared, this celebration recognizes both “a nation and a spirit that never stop dreaming about what’s next.”
Disney’s platforms and beloved brands will join forces to showcase stories that inspire, from entertainment and sports to travel and exploration. The company’s legacy of honoring veterans and uplifting communities will also take center stage, continuing a tradition that has been part of Disney’s story for over a century.
Coast-to-Coast Magic at Disney Parks
The celebration will reach its peak at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, where guests can experience the new Soarin’ Across America attraction beginning in Summer 2026. This breathtaking adventure will whisk guests over iconic landmarks and natural wonders from coast to coast, perfectly capturing the beauty and diversity of the nation.
In addition, the beloved fireworks spectacular Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will light up both coasts from July 3 through 5, filling the skies with color, music, and pride.
A Star-Spangled Broadcast Event
On July 4, 2026, the celebration will culminate in a 24-hour, multi-platform broadcast event titled Disney Celebrates America. The nationwide broadcast will air across Disney’s networks and streaming platforms — including ABC, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, National Geographic, and more.
Led by David Muir and the ABC News team, the coverage will spotlight extraordinary Americans, breathtaking performances, and stories of resilience and hope that define the nation’s 250-year journey.
Honoring Veterans and Military Families
Supporting veterans and military families has always been a proud part of Disney’s legacy. As part of Disney Celebrating America, Disney is expanding its partnership with Blue Star Families through a $2.5 million donation. Together, they will host special events like the 25th Blue Star Books celebration and offer unique experiences for service members and their loved ones.
Disney will also continue its support through programs like the U.S. Chamber Corporate Fellowship and Skillbridge, helping veterans transition successfully into civilian careers. Disney will invite military families to special movie screenings, and they will make exclusive travel offers available across Disney destinations in 2026.
Stories That Unite and Inspire Disney Celebrating America
Across Disney platforms, fans can expect a wave of special programming. Good Morning America will continue its “50 States in 50 Weeks” series, National Geographic will launch America in Superlatives, and ESPN will feature patriotic segments like “America’s Team.” ABC News Studios will also present a primetime special connecting Disney’s most iconic park lands to the real-life places that inspired them.
