The Muppets Get Festive! A Look at the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Holiday Overlay Preshow
The holidays are ROCKING at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
The Electric Mayhem is back at G-Force Records, but this time there’s a holiday concert to prepare for, a few familiar Muppet faces stopping by, and plenty of festive chaos along the way.
Beginning today, November 4, 2026, guests can experience Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay, a limited-time holiday transformation of the popular attraction running through January 6, 2027.
And if you thought getting The Electric Mayhem ready for a regular concert was an adventure, wait until you see what happens when the holidays arrive!
A Holiday Makeover at G-Force Records
The holiday fun begins before guests even step inside G-Force Records.
The courtyard surrounding the attraction’s iconic guitar marquee gets into the spirit with festive music, setting the stage for the holiday concert ahead.
Inside the recording studio, Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips are busy rehearsing for their holiday spectacular.
Of course, things don’t always go according to plan when The Electric Mayhem is involved.
A few familiar Muppet friends make appearances throughout the preshow, offering a helping hand as the band works to get ready for its big performance.
Scooter Takes Center Stage in the Holiday Preshow
One of the biggest highlights of the attraction’s updated preshow is Scooter!
The band’s manager has his hands full trying to keep everything on schedule, and the holiday version gives guests even more opportunities to enjoy his personality and antics.
Scooter is also making Disney history as the attraction features the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of the Muppet.
Walt Disney Imagineering used motion-capture technology to bring Scooter to life, recording and tracking the actual Muppet’s movements and expressions to create a figure that looks and moves like the character.
And he’s not working alone!
A team of penguin audio engineers is helping Scooter get the band ready for its performance. Between the rehearsals, last-minute preparations, and unexpected distractions, there’s plenty happening inside the studio.
If you haven’t seen the updated preshow yet, take a look at the video above for a closer look at the holiday fun inside G-Force Records!
The Electric Mayhem Has a New Holiday Set List
Of course, no holiday concert would be complete without music!
For the Obligatory Holiday Overlay, The Electric Mayhem is bringing four holiday-inspired tracks to the attraction, including collaborations with some special guests.
The holiday set list includes:
- Holiday Road – The Electric Mayhem featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson
- Silver Bells – The Electric Mayhem featuring Cyndi Lauper
- Little Saint Nick – The Electric Mayhem
Each song brings a little holiday spirit and plenty of rock-and-roll energy to the attraction.
